Nextel, S.A. is telematic engineering with an expertise in security solutions. NEXTEL is an accredited auditor by BSI on BS-7799-2:2002 information security management system and has a long record of activities with telecom and broadcasting companies. Nextel, S.A. has more than a decade of experience offering telematic services to the business world, broadcasters and telecommunication industrial enterprises, providing them with advanced technical security solutions and helping them to a total integration of telecommunications to their business processes.
Thales Group totalled revenues over 11 billion Euro in 2005, half from the Civilian businesses and half in the Governmental and Defence domains. Within the 60.000 employees worldwide (50.000 in Europe), one third is involved in R&D that totals 1.9 billion Euro (18% of revenues).
Thales Communication France (TCF) revenues reached 1 billion Euro with 4.600 employees. TCF addresses every activity related to telecommunications: wireless communications, IP networks, satellite communication, network administration and security. TCF has a long experience in very large Information Systems and secure infrastructures for systems and networks, including Internet and Intranets. TCF also develops a full range of telecommunication platforms and components, a range of high performance security products and has a deep skill in secure telecommunications for public and governmental organisations, emergency services and armies.
LISSI/SCTIC research Lab is associated to the Institute of Technology and Faculty of Sciences and Technology of Paris 12 University (25000 students and 1800 staff members). LISSI was created to develop methods and algorithms for modelling, analysis and control of networks and complex systems. Application fields are large ubiquitous robots, large scale enterprises, pervasive and distributed systems, (wired and wireless networks, autonomic and soft computing). Currently, the LISSI Lab counts around 62 members (including 6 professors, 20 Assistant professors, and 6 research assistant). LISSI/SCTIC department has research activities in semantic web based pervasive computing, Multi agent systems, Workflows, Network QoS MAC and QoS routing algorithms in wired and wireless networks.
